Since Avon wasn’t established until 1995, it is the relatively newest and fastest-growing community in the county. Located around 20 minutes to the west of the Indianapolis suburbs, Avon is surrounded by Brownsburg, Plainfield, and Danville–towns with unique identities. Situated on the far west side of the Indianapolis suburbs, Avon is a great place to call home. To begin with, the town is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, Avon is located right off US 36, making it easier to enter and exit the city. So, residents can enjoy a peaceful and laid-back lifestyle yet be able to drive to other parts of Indianapolis easily.
