Eastgate is renowned as the site of the first mall in Indiana, the Eastgate Shopping Center or the Eastgate Consumer Mall. Currently, a data storage center that hosts the Indianapolis Homeland Security Department can be found on the site of the shopping center. Irvington, on the other hand, holds architectural and cultural value. The area is filled with American architectural styles from the 1870s to the 1950s.

Most tree-lined neighborhoods in Warren Township comprise older homes that are around 1,300 Sq. Ft. or smaller with few newer constructions, particularly inside the circle. The predominant style is bungalow, ranch, mid-century modern, and craftsman, and the median home value is $119,800.

There are not many high-value homes in Warren Township. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t find bigger homes. Around 75% of the houses outside the circle are newer construction, which was built in the last 20 years, and there exist a few subdivisions of homes in the $400,000-$500,000 range. A good amount of research or the right real estate agent will help you find such options.

Apart from that, the right housing and neighborhood option for you will depend on your budget and specific requirements. For instance, the area from 465 to German Church has an abundance of medium-priced homes, but as soon as you get outside of German Church, the prices start to rise. Similarly, the area around 70 was cheap earlier, but the house value here has been spiking recently, meaning now is a great time to invest in a property here.

Though most of Warren Township is still natural, the region has witnessed recent developments. There are tons of shopping and grocery stores in the area, alongside a big mix of restaurants, but the local favorites are smaller, family-owned places, particularly the Mexican restaurants that are quickly taking over the inner circle.

Another unique thing about living in Warren Township is the large piece of green space near the downtown area that they have kept untouched. It makes a great a great spot for holding small events and festivals.
